Innovation for children requires intention, collaboration, and a deep understanding of what families experience. As a parent who has navigated pediatric healthcare firsthand, it was inspiring to see that commitment brought to life at the Pediatric Healthcare Innovation Summit.
For two days, leaders from children’s hospitals, investors, clinicians, and entrepreneurs gathered at Georgia Institute of Technology Science Square Atlanta and the Historic Academy of Medicine with a shared purpose. The focus was clear. Advance solutions that improve care and quality of life for children. The Consortium for Technology and Innovation in Pediatrics, SWPDC Southwest National Pediatric Device Innovation Consortium, the Midwest Pediatric Device Consortium, and several other partners created an exceptional environment dedicated to supporting breakthrough pediatric technologies.
Luminoah was honored to receive a 50K award in the pitch competition funded by the FDA Pediatric Device Innovation Consortium. These organizations are essential partners in accelerating safe and meaningful innovation for children, and we are grateful for their support of our mission.
While in Atlanta, I had the opportunity to tour Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Arthur M. Blank Hospital. The scale and quality of the facility were remarkable. CHOA serves more than one million children each year and integrates care with an environment designed for healing. Outdoor play spaces, robots that deliver supplies, and the Ryan Seacrest Studio where patients can create music and broadcast during treatments all contribute to a warm, empowering experience for young patients and their families.
Advancing pediatric innovation requires collaboration across institutions and disciplines. Luminoah is proud to be part of this community and to continue developing technology that improves care for children who rely on tube feeding.
